ROLE OF MEDIA

ROLE OF MEDIA

Newspapers, magazines and TV channels play an important role in a nation’s life. They inform the people about the facts and open their eyes to the realities. We can learn about important events taking place in the world by reading a news papers or watching a news channel. Newspapers give us useful information about the political affairs and economic affairs. It also publishes news about other countries. All these informations are collected by journalists.

Newspapers try to present a true picture of society without fear or favour. They never try to mislead us. In fact newspapers should be impartial in as perfect a way as possible. They should favour neither any person nor any party. They should criticize all those persons who do evil and harm the society, however, powerful they may be.

The press can work independently only when the public knows democratic principles and desires to act on them. So there is need to educate and inform the public about the meaning and benefits of real democracy. Journalists, who write for newspapers, write in a very bold manner. Sometimes their life is in danger, but they do not care for it and fulfill their duties with great responsibilities.
