ROLE OF MEDIA

ROLE OF MEDIA

Newspapers, magazines and TV channels play an important role in a nation’s life. They inform the people about the facts and open their eyes to the realities. We can learn about important events taking place in the world by reading a news papers or watching a news channel. Newspapers give us useful information about the political affairs and economic affairs. It also publishes news about other countries. All these informations are collected by journalists.

Newspapers try to present a true picture of society without fear or favour. They never try to mislead us. In fact newspapers should be impartial in as perfect a way as possible. They should favour neither any person nor any party. They should criticize all those persons who do evil and harm the society, however, powerful they may be.

The press can work independently only when the public knows democratic principles and desires to act on them. So there is need to educate and inform the public about the meaning and benefits of real democracy. Journalists, who write for newspapers, write in a very bold manner. Sometimes their life is in danger, but they do not care for it and fulfill their duties with great responsibilities.

LEANING TOWER OF PISA… Do You Know?

LEANING TOWER OF PISA… Do You Know?

Italian Torre Pendente di Pisa medieval structure in Pisa, Italy, that is famous for the settling of its foundations, which caused it to lean 5.5 degrees (about 15 feet {4.5 meters}) from the perpendicular y the late 20th century. The bell tower, begun in 1173 as the third and final structure of the city’s cathedral complex, was designed to stand 185 feet (56 meters) high and was constructed of white marble. Three of its eight stories were completed when the uneven settling of the building’s foundation in the soft ground became noticeable.

Bonnano Pisano, the engineer in charge, sought to compensate for the lean by making the new stories slightly taller on the short side, but the extra masonry caused the structure to sink still further. Work was suspended several times as engineers sought solutions, but the tower was ultimately topped out in the 14th century, still leaning.

The foundations have been strengthened by the injection of cement grout and various types of bracing and reinforcement, but in the late 20th century the structure was still subsiding, at the rate of 0.05 inch (1.2 mm) per year, and was in danger of collapse. In 1990 the tower was closed and the bells silenced as engineers undertook a major straightening project. Earth was siphoned from underneath the foundations, decreasing the lean by 17 inches (44 cm) to 13.5 feet (4.1 meters); engineers predicted it would take 300 years for the structure to return to its 1990 position. The work was completed in May 2001.

Albert took all the blood types and mixed them up, added some carrot juice; put the nectar of red roses into it. Then, he heated them on the stove. Shaking it all the time and named it ‘Crimson Concoction” as all the ingredients are red in color. He drank this mixture after making sure that it was okay. He could feel his brain becoming larger and more hair grew out on his head, until they were shoulder length. He could feel the power in his brain. Very soon, Albert came to be known as a genius although he did have fits of insanity sometimes because his brain power had become too powerful for him to control.
Soon, Albert because known all over the world for his accomplishments. At the age of fourteen, he taught himself calculus and geometry & won the noble prize. After 28 years, Albert now came to be known by his surname, ”Einstein” He died at the age of 76.
Now, after enlarging his brain power, Albert had gotten an X-ray of it and had been seen. Surprised to see that it was the shape of pyramid rather than spherical. Another strange thing that he had experienced during the years was that when he submerged his head in water, it attracted metallic objects Albert thought that it was perhaps due to its peculiar shape which caused it to do so.
After his death, Albert was supposedly buried in front of the world at his birth place in Germany but the day after his funeral, he was secretly shipped. Out of Germany to be taken as a secret US Govt. laboratory and research center in Florida to implant his brain into another person’s head.
But, the ship never reached its destination. When it was near the south eastern end of Florida, it sank and everyone drowned. And although Albert is died today, his brain is still alive and attracts all metallic objects in the region called the Devil’s triangle more commonly known as BERMUDA TRIANGLE.

Bermuda Triangle A World Mystery

Bermuda Triangle A World Mystery

Section of the North Atlantic Ocean off North America in which more than 50 ships and 20 airplanes are said to have mysteriously disappeared. The area, whose boundaries are not universally agreed upon, has a vaguely triangular shape marked by the southern U.S coast, Bermuda, and Greater Antilles.

Reports of unexplained occurrence in the region date to the mid-19th century. Some ships were discovered completely abandoned for no apparent reason; others transmitted no distress signals and were never seen or heard from again. Aircraft have been reported and then vanished, and rescue missions are said to have vanished when flying in the area. However, wreckage has not been bound, and some of the theories advanced to explain the repeated mysteries have been fanciful. Scientific searches have revealed nothing to substantiate the stored peril of the region wherever it may be. Boaters and fliers continue to venture through the triangle without event.

My Dear Algebra!

With due calculations, I am asking for your opinion about the marriage of my sun zero with your daughter infinity.

I have already consulted my brother Statistics and sister Astronomy, and in their opinion,
they will lead happy life. You might also be knowing that they love each other so much that they can sacrifice their lives for each other. To this theorem D quote the following.

Any digit + Infinity and any digit = zero

However, you will agree with me that both my son and daughter have certain weaknesses. My son zero, in spite of his popularity amongst his colleagues, when multiplied yield none but himself. Coming to your daughter’s weakness, when she starts working, she knows no bounds. Many intellectuals have tried to asses her speed, but failed, despite their weakness, the couple is exactly suitable for each other.
Would you kindly tell with the help of convergent series or form the logarithmic table suitable date for their marriage.
For your satisfaction you may consult calculus and Analytical Geometry. With this I end my letter. Love to lovely daughter infinity.
Anxiously waiting for your final reply.

Thank you,
Yours Sincerely

WORLD SITUATION AFTER 11 SEPTEMBER

WORLD SITUATION AFTER 11 SEPTEMBER

The world is still facing the unfavorable consequences of the rigorous attacks on the United States on September 11. And its spell will remain there for a long time to come. Although the rubble of the targeted buildings has been cleared but it will still remain as a scar on the face of the Muslims world. The incident has increased the hatred between the west and the Muslim countries. Attacks on Afghanistan started to root out terrorism and Muslim countries were banned to help other Muslim countries. These attacks brought the world economic system at a halt. Especially airline tourism, hotels and other businesses suffered an uncover-able loss which will be very difficult to fulfill.
Action against terrorism has now created religious conflicts. This war against terrorism gave more of an impression of a fight against innocent civilians rather than terrorism. Masses got the impression that there are more proves of damages. This increased restlessness, anxiety and apprehension in the minds of general public because of the world situation. Even till now, the world situation is insecure. No one can foretell what the world would be like in the up coming years, may God bring His mercy on every one.

When I’m not thinking about it, I’m doing it
When I’m not doing it, I’m thinking about it
Sometimes easing but every time teasing is this.
So frustrating and infuriating is this
Sucking my blood like a vampire
Every time giving me a Goose bump’s Nightmare
Neither can I enjoy a weekend
Nor can I indulge in an annual event
You say its unfeasible to cope
What a Harry Potters version in the final term
I think, I’ve missed my hundred meals for this ever beating drum
It makes me a laughing stock in my own kin
When I treat my home like an inn.
It deprives the teenagers of their elation when they have to leave the party for the sake of examination.

What Is A SMILE

What Is A SMILE

Smiling is infectious
You can catch it like a flue
When someone smiled at me today
I started smiling too
I passed around the corner
And someone saw my grin
When he smiled I realized
I did pass it onto him
I thought about that smile
And he realized its worth
A single smile just like mine
Could travel around the world
So if you feel a smile begin
Don’t leave it undetected
Let’s start an epidemic quick
And get the world infected.

IS MODEREN CIVILIZATION IS A SUCCESS???

IS MODEREN CIVILIZATION IS A SUCCESS???

To civilize something means to bring it out of Barbarism. When we talk of modern civilization, we take it for granted that the existing conditions of society are an improvement over the ------ times which prevailed in the dark ages. Knowledge and science has given us tremendous powers. We have built ships, computers & aero planes.
We have invented such things of which the previous generation knew nothing. Who can say that modern civilization is a failure?
But … Let us change the mode of our thinking and ask : what is barbarism ??? It is ignorance, rudeness, absence of culture??? In fact!!! Civilization means the conditions of heart not the surrounding.
Are we not bar barons, callous, stone hearted? Are we not rude? We have to admit that despite the mushroom growth of humanitarian societies, we are divided into antagonistic groups.
We do not even have love for our neighbors. A cultured and civilized man is a gentleman. A gentleman should be equipped with the attributes of non violence, tolerance, charity, brotherhood, sacrifice, peace, patience, love and many more things for fellow beings. How many of these qualities does the modern so-called civilized gentleman possess???
We are proud that we are living in the age of books that have great utility. They enliquer
The burden of men’s lives, their sorrows and their unfulfilled hopes. Yet, the world is divided into power blocks. No one can deny that war is evil. Its other name is terror. The dark clouds of 3rd world war are hovering over our heads. Civilized men are superior to the barbarians of the past.
“Enjoy, make few of other and be the successful person” is principle of today.
The modern civilized man is only a modern man. They have atom bombs in their minds poison in their hearts with guns in their hands. The question is again the same.

“IS MODEREN CIVILIZATION IS A SUCCESS???”

HEPATITIS

HEPATITIS

Introduction:-
Hepatitis is primarily caused by infection with one of at least 5 different viruses, each of which has a different epidemiologic pattern of transmission, a different clinical outcome and a different mean of prevention. According to Seegar and Mason different viruses including hepatitis A,B,C,D,E and G cause viral infections of human liver.

HEPATITIS C:

Hepatitis C virus was identified in 1989 when its genome was isolated from the plasma of a chimpanzee, experimentally infected with blood borne non-A, non-B hepatitis virus. In the late 1970s, reports of primates after exposure to HCV infected human serum followed by a subsequent report of HCV infection after a needle stick injury resulted in the identification of hepatitis C as a distinct and transmissible hepatitis virus.
Hepatitis is a serious disease caused by a Virus that attacks the liver. The Virus, which is called hepatitis C Virus (HCV), can cause life long infection, Cirrhosis of the liver, liver cancer, liver failure and even death. It is a serious and common infectious disease of the liver, affecting million of people throughout the world. An estimated 100 million individuals world wide is chronically infected with HCV. High prevalence rates have been found in South Asian countries, such as Thailand, Malaysia and India.
Hepatitis is also the most common chronic blood borne infection in the U.S. In the United States HCV caused an estimated 10,000 deaths annually. The children become infected with HCV through a variety of means including per natal HCV infection and person to person transmission is not common. The disease in newborns is usually mild and free of symptoms.
The acute and chronic consequences of hepatitis C Virus infection are among the major health problems in Pakistan. Hepatitis C Virus infection has different clinical manifestations depending on the patient’s age at infection, immune status and the stage at which the disease is recognized.
Epidemiological studies conducted in the past have provided data regarding the prevalence of HBV and HCV in different parts of the world. But few studies are available in Pakistan. The prevalence of hepatitis c infection is high in Pakistan and nation wide efforts are required to identify people who may have been infected with HBV and HCV.

Medical tests for Hepatitis C
1:-Liver Biopsy
2:-Liver function tests (LFTs)

A TRUTH ABOUT 1st APRIL FOOL

A TRUTH ABOUT 1st APRIL FOOL

After centuries of Muslim Rule, in Spain the Christian army was torturing the Muslims. The Christian wanted to get rid of Muslims. So, they told the Muslims that they could take the necessary belongings with them. The Muslims were also given the ships anchored on the quayside to check the ships. The Muslims confined it and were convinced.
On 1st April, the Muslims took their oriental and walked toward the quayside but to their shock, the Christian looted their homes as well as their ships on the quayside. At last the Muslims were also attacked. They were all killed. That was the time when the Christians celebrated the 1st APRIL.
After that a custom all over the world started. But there is more shake up that even the Muslims were to make fool of each other with knowledge of its tragic story. It is very shameful for us that we adopt every custom of the western nations without any consideration of the mythology behind it. Think a little there are not even the human signs of the people who were killed there.
In fact the celebration of 1st April fool is not only fooling of a person or nation but it is the fooling of whole mankind. Such things lead us to a situation where we lose the weight of humanity. Can we afford this inhumanity? Certainly not.
